Can I dye my hair even after putting in hair relaxer?
I'm an ';Emo'; boy and I dye my hair black. I am always using an iron to straighten but I am going somewhere where I can't use an iron (camp). SO I am planning to use a relaxer.
So please, if you have an answer, ANSWER! =]
notes:
the relaxer is an All Natural Olive oil Treatment.

yeah risk is more damage.. and good luck with emo-ness.. make your own style and be your own.. and yeah the revlon will probably fade because I used revlon before. Can I dye my hair even after putting in hair relaxer?
Every time you process your hair, you do more damage. It's generally best to wait several weeks before doing another process. The 2 things working in your favor are 1: It's an olive oil relaxer (never heard of it, but I'll take your word for it), which is probably very moisturizing, and 2) you're not lightening your hair, which means the color you're using probably has low to no ammonia. But I'd still wait a few weeks if you can. Not having the color you'd like is much more tolerable than broken off bits of black mess.
I'm a gay guy but I'm a prep :P You CAN bring your flat iron to camp, you need a written statement from your mother stating that you are NOT responsible if anyone gets hurt and you are ALLOWED to bring it to camp. I relax my hair all of the time and I've died it black after. Make sure you RELAX it BEFORE you DYE it. Oh make sure you get some hot emo gay action on the side when your at camp! :P

Would a hair relaxer be considered something like a chemical peel?
I was wondering because when I was 14 I had gotten a perm by my beautician for 11 years, and somehow I guess the perm had gotten onto my forehead and it caused my forehead to get lighter and erase my acne scars. I had to put cocoa butter on my skin to get it back to its normal color.Would a hair relaxer be considered something like a chemical peel?
i'm not sure, but i have a friend whose hair started falling out from using a hair relaxer, so be careful!!Would a hair relaxer be considered something like a chemical peel?
They are both chemicals, but I don't recommend rubbing relaxer on your face to give yourself an at home chem peel :)
A hair relaxer can seriously burn and blister your skin. They are lye-based like Drano. There are special professional preparations for doing chemical peels on skin. DO NOT PUT RELAXER ON YOUR FACE unless you want to risk scarring for life. For the love of God go see a dermatologist.

I am an African American female and my hair relaxer did not take.?
I added a hair relaxer to my hair a week ago. I did not have enough hair relaxer, but managed to spread the little I had over my entire head(I have a short boy like hair cut). The problem was that small amount of hair relaxer did not straighting my hair. How early can it be before I can add another one without damaging my hair?I am an African American female and my hair relaxer did not take.?
aside from the questions: what stopped you from getting more relaxer before you started? or did it look like enuff til you got going? If you can identify the areas that still need processing, I don't see why waiting at least a week would not be a problem, you at least need to wash your hair and deep condition once. The longer you can wait the better, but I guess you're having trouble getting the look you want. Make sure you protect your hair with a porosity controller for process overlap if you plan on re-relaxing in the next week.I am an African American female and my hair relaxer did not take.?
Porosity Control - sally's beauty, you can use it before to protect and after to help neutralize
it's probably like hair dye and you are told to wait at least 2 weeks. good luck next time.

Take your hair for a nice evening out,
maybe to a spa for a massage and a steam bath.
That should relax it (it would relax me!).
Or, stare intently at your hair in a mirror,
and repeat the following a few times:
';You are getting sleepy . . . you are feeling relaxed . . . ';
Okay, I'm just kidding!
Seriously, if you want your hair to be ';totally straight';,
just keep it away from criminal elements,
and you should be fine!
(yeah, I know . . .
go ahead and give me a negative rating for those awful puns!
I deserve it!) ;)Hair Relaxers!!Help PLEASE?
Have you tried a Press-n-curl? I would suggest that you consult a professional stylist. Being that your ethnicity is mixed, a relaxer could be more than what you need. Upon properly pressing and curling your hair it should not frizz upon leaving the shower.
Good luck!
lol u sound just like me, Dont relax ur hair it will damage and u will have to continue 4 life, try a texturiser and get a pair of ghd straightners (a life saver) you will be able to have both curly and straight hair (the best of both worlds)
GOOD LUCK
well my hair is really really frizzy and unmanageable..... a hair straightener helps alot, try using garnier frutus sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner and d anti-humid hair moisterizer after...works for me....well for d while, lets jus home my hair doesnt evolve and rebel....lol
Mizani is really good for mixed hair...Hope that helps :)

What is a hair relaxer and is it harmful to the hair?
i am persian and i have frizzy wavy hair, i was wondering how to get rid of the poof and i saw hair relaxer and am now curous. helpppp. What is a hair relaxer and is it harmful to the hair?
It is a hair product that helps straighten your hair, it can be harmful if not done correctly, i recommend that u don't scratch or get your scalp irritated before using the hair relaxer, no coloring hair at least 6weeks before using the relaxer, and since its your first time i suggest that you use the mildest formula they have, and ALSO TRY TESTING A SMALL AREA OF YOUR HAIR FIRST, BEFORE TRYING IT ON ALL OF YOUR HAIR. AND ALSO, and you can try going to a hair or beauty salon to get if done professionally.lotion cream
