Go to nappturality.com. It's a great site for transitioning and taking care of natural hair. What do i do with the roots of my hair after a quiting the relaxers?
I'm guessing you are trying to give your hair a rest or go natural. First, go to a stylist and let him/her get you started.

The really easy answer is to cut out the relaxer and wear your hair short while it grows in. If you are trying to keep the length for a while, all you can do is use quality products to deep condition the new growth and tame it a little. Try Aveda hang straight before you blow dry your hair and it will act as an anti-humectant. If you are trying to wear straight styles, you are probably going to have to pull out the old-fashioned straightening comb and do what mama did. Be careful pressing that new growth. Don't put too much heat in. It's delicate and needs some TLC. Keep the new growth moisturized and very conditioned and soon you will have the hair you had when you were 5! Don't get frustrated and give up on the new growth. Give it a good year or so and hopefully you will love the results.

You should think about wearing styles that work with curly or kinky hair. Try a rod (or wet) set and wear your hair full of spiral curls. They last about a week. This is a great style for growing in natural hair.

If you are thinking about braids, be forewarned that when the braids come out, you're natural hair is very thick, puffy and it can be quite unruly. Also, lots of braids tend to break off the hair. Thick, neat cornrows are much more hair-healthy.
