No, they're for anyone who wants permanently straight hair. If you want to use one I suggest going to a salon to get it done, or making sure you follow the directions exactly. Make sure you really want to do it. You can use any one of the relaxers. They're marketed mostly to black people (hence the black people on the box), but can be used by anyone. Are hair relaxers only used on African-American hair?
Don't do it! It will ruin your hair and you will have to chop it off. Especially since you've never done this before. To answer part of your question, no, hair relaxers are not only used on african-american hair.

If you really want to straighten it, have it done professionally.

Good Luck!
there are chemical straighteners for caucasian hair but I dont know if theyre the same as relaxers if you really want to know buy one and do a strand test. cut a piece of your hair and pit the relaxer on it. If you have very curly hair it should work exactly the same as it does in black hair
yes its basically for kinky hair so people who have afriacan-american in them, it will work. it wont work for most white people. but never the less, i wouldnt recommend a relaxer on anyones hair. all it will do is destroy it overtime.
a friend of my told me if it were used on straight hair, it would make it curly :l
