Ive decided to relax my hair instead of getting it chemically straightened which I heard is better for my hair. But I was wondering if a relaxer is supposed to straighten hair ? If not what does it do ?Do hair relaxers straighten hair ?

its the same thing, its not really better. the first time it turns out pretty and stuff, but later it gets kinda stiff and stufff.
its bad for your hair, it ruins it and usually it ends up pretty short. yeah it straightens it mostly, and it makes it easy to straighten it with a flat iron. but i really wouldnt recommend doing it
