How can my daughters mixed hair, go back to natural after being over processed with relaxers?

Please help? We are no longer perming her hair, we are just letting it grow, but its so dry and half is straight the back underneath is so curly? How can my daughters mixed hair, go back to natural after being over processed with relaxers?
You will have to let the relaxer grow out by clipping the ends every six to eight weeks, eventually cutting away all of the relaxed hair. Another option is to cut it all off and start off fresh. How can my daughters mixed hair, go back to natural after being over processed with relaxers?
Since you are trying to let your daughters relaxer grow out, your daughters hair will be 2 textures (relaxed and natural). Make sure you trim the ends of her hair every 6 weeks and as stated earlier you will eventually cut off all of the relaxed hair. Since some of her hair will be straight %26amp; some curly, purchase a blow dryer with a comb on the end (from wall mart or Sally's) and when you wash her hair use the blow dryer to straighten and dry her hair. This will help to make her hair look like it's all one texture.

I hope this helped!
You have to learn how to keep it moisturized, and keeping curly hair moisturized consists of more than just adding moisturizer to her hair, you have seal in that moisture with a natural oil. Plus, depending on how long she's been relaxing, the extremely dry hair might be Scab Hair which is dryer and more brittle than her real hair texture. If it's scab hair then over time it will change to a much smoother texture. She also cannot use the same products she used on her relaxed hair on her natural hair. You'll have to research ways to take care of her hair while she transitions.

You can let it grow out and trim the relaxed ends little-by-little or you can cut off all the relaxed hair at once. Either way, the relaxed hair will never revert.
