Review on hair relaxers for wavy hair?

Please explain what a hair relaxer is.

Is it like permanent/ chemical/ japanese straightening?

How long does it last?

Do you do it yourself or a salon?

Is it bad for your hair?Review on hair relaxers for wavy hair?
relaxers straighten your hair, it is a chemical process that breaks down the bonds of your hair making in it weaker, and therfore changing the pettern. it lasts about 6 months to a year, but keep in mind that every 6 to 8 weeks you will have to get all of your new growth relaxed because as your hair grows out it will be its original texture, and this in the long run costs alot of money. I would reccomened getting it dont in a salon and yes it is very damaging to your hair, it makes the hair weak and this leads to breakage which can cause your hair to break off completley. And the only way to get rid of it once it is done is to cut all the straight ends off all at once, or wait for your hair to grow out and trim off the ends little by little this takes about 6 months to a year. I suggest you just invest in a really good flat iron,it is cheaper and better for your hair in the long run. You check out lots of reviews here http;//www.folica.com you get free shipping and warranty's with most of them.
